OVERVIEW
The Software Engineer will be focused on designing, implementing, and supporting Forum Analytics software technologies.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on developing enterprise class web-based software products. You will be challenged to learn new languages, frameworks and architectures. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages.
- Front end graphical user interface design
- Software testing and quality assurance
- Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.
- Support, maintain and document software functionality
- Integrate software with existing systems
- Maintain standards compliance
PREREQUISITES
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field
- Experience with web development in Java
- Experience with database development and performance tuning
- Experience with Struts, Spring, Hibernate, and at least one major JavaScript framework
- Familiarity with both Windows- and Linux-based server environments
- Strong architecture and OO skills
- US citizen or authorized to work in the United States
WHAT WILL SET YOU APART
- 2+ years of professional software development experience across the entire software life cycle
- Any experience with, or exposure to, Google Maps, GIS systems, or spatial data
- Experience with C#, ASP.NET, and Silverlight
- Experience with Perl, Python, or Ruby
- System administration, networking, and security experience
- Previous experience working for a start-up or a small company
